At the Krikke Boys Race

Wow, what an amazing race night, I felt very privileged to be a part of the Krikke Boys race night. The racing was hard and fast and the crowd was huge.
A field of 18 Speedcars were nominated for the night, so doing well in the heat races was going to be important. I finished 5th in the first heat and 1st in the second heat, but this was only good enough to start from 8th place in the feature. I had to hustle early in the feature and at one stage lead the race, but in the later stages, slipped back to second where I finished.
It wasn’t until the racing finished that I really
understood the magnitude of the crowd. Once the pits had opened, we were
swamped by race fans, and at one stage had a line waiting for autographs
and to sit in the Speedcar. I would like to thank all the fans for their
kind words and support.
