Hundreds of WA celebrities went
behind the counter at McDonald’s restaurants on McHappy Day, 18 November,
2006 to help raise $2 million dollars for RMHC to support initiatives such
as the Ronald McDonald Learning Program, Ronald McDonald House and the Ronald
McDonald Family Retreats.
Throughout the day, $1 from the sale of every Big Mac and profits from every
$2 red wristband went directly to RMHC.
McHappy Day is the largest annual fundraising activity for RMHC, which supports
programs throughout Australia that help seriously ill children live happier,
healthier lives. All costs associated with McHappy Day are funded by McDonald's
restaurants, so 100 cents in every dollar raised is used to benefit sick
children. |
