Easter weekend 7th April 2007 will without a doubt go into my list of career highlights. After winning rookie of the year last year and now winning my very first State Title in Speedcars after having only been in Speedcars for two years, is such a great feeling.
The nights racing format was two heats and a 25 lap final. After getting a 3rd and a 1st in my heats this put me off the second row in the final. The race was fast paced and after a lengthy battle with Tommy Watson over the 25 laps I was the victor. It was the most amazing feeling having just won my first State Title, and being able to carry the chequered flag around Kwinana Motorplex in front of a large crowd was awesome.
