Still wingless, but with a difference

On Sunday the 20th of May I was fortunate enough to be given the opportunity by Northam Motorsports promoters Jason Oldfield and Rod Howe to drive there house wingless sprintcar that they had imported from the USA.

It was the venues opening winter meeting and my first time at the complex just up the great eastern highway… and my first thoughts were WOW check out the banking on that oval piece of dirt. I felt really comfortable in the wingless beast straight away and enjoyed every lap I did in the car but I could not wait till the feature race part of the day when I would be joined on the track by midget drivers Scott Glazebrook and Jamie Oldfield after they removed the wings from the other Northam Motorsports sprintcars the 15 lap exhibition we put on was a lot of fun and I think showcased how exciting these wingless monsters can be and explain there huge popularity in the USA.

Thanks to Rod and Jason for the ride it was fantastic and would suggest that anyone with a winged monster that if you ever get the chance GO WINGLESS it’s a real buzz.
