About Todd

Todd Waddell continues to make his mark on Speedway Racing in Australian. His exciting and explosive style has not only seen him realize an ever growing popularity and star quality in WA, but also gained a reputation from his fellow east coast competition as one to watch.

Todd started racing at the early age of 10 in junior sedans. His junior racing career featured; 3 in a row Australian Championships, an Australasian Title, multiple State Championships as well as a collection of Motorplex Track Championships.

He graduated to Speedcars and in only three seasons, Todd has backed up the WA Speedcar Drivers Association Rookie of the Year and Fairest and Best award of 2005/2006 with the amazing triumph of taking the WA State Speedcar Championship for season 2006/2007 and becoming the youngest ever winner of the very prestigious LJM Memorial race, the Feature Race Points Award and another Fairest and Best in 2007/2008.

Season 2008/2009 saw Todd drafted straight from Speedway competition into Brett Stevens Racing after a nation wide selection process. Driving the Mack Trucks Doorslammer in the ‘World largest Drag Racing Team’, Todd finished his rookie season in 20th position of the 2008/2009 ANDRA Australian Top Doorslammer Championship with a personal best of 6.313 @ 240.64mph.

This season will see Todd return to the Speedway scene, this time running in the sports premier division - Sprintcars.
