Todd Waddell Strength to Strength

On Saturday 7th November 2009 Sprintcar Rookie Todd Waddell driving the #60 Muir Motorsport, DiCandilo Steel City, TLC Haulage, XXX took a huge leap forward finishing a solid 7th place at Perth Motorplex.

 

After finishing his first meeting just a fortnight earlier in 14th place on a very slick track, conditions for  the weekend’s event honoring the Magic Man Michael Figliomeni was a complete turn around.  presented  was a very greasy racing surface all night and with light rain falling during the proceedings, the former WA Speedcar Champion showed great race craft during the 25 lap feature race, using multiple race lines throughout the event in lapped traffic and avoiding a major crash on lap 21.

Team owner Mat Muir and invaluable mentor to team driver Waddell said he was delighted with the results on the night that it takes the team to 10th spot in the AHG standings. They now travels to the South West town of Manjimup for the first round of the Southern Thunder Series, to get some more laps under his belt before heading back to the high banks of the Motorplex for the running of the WA Sprintcar Championship.
